Cliff & Sue's Mission’s Trip To Philippines
Meet Cliff & Sue Parrish.
The visionary architects behind Freedom From Within. Their mission goes beyond constructing buildings; it's about transforming lives through a program designed to instill invaluable life skills. For over a decade, they have significantly impacted individuals within the prison system, dedicating thousands of hours to help individuals in custody, to prepare them for a successful return to society.
Their journey began on a missions trip in the Philippines, where they found themselves drawn to uplift one of the world's most impoverished communities. During a prison outreach effort, Cliff required the help from a trusted translator who was also a long time inmate.
Several years and many visits later, Cliff asked the translator a simple and overdue question:
“after all this time, why haven’t you been released?”
Turns out, he couldn't go home because of a $500 fine.
This seemed ridiculous to Cliff and so he made arrangements to cover the fine and prepared him for success with housing and employment in a near by village.
